Anyway, I’m back on here again because I finally have more time for blogging during my spare time (okay, maybe not but I’m going to try my best and post at least one review every month).
After being stuck at home for two months during quarantine, I definitely rushed to a Watsons near me because I’ve been stretching out my beauty products for so long. And as I was looking at the body lotion section, I saw this Myra Classic Moisturizing Vitamin Lotion.
I think what made me buy it was that my mom is a loyal Myra E (the vitamin supplement) user and she swears that it makes her skin more glowing and youthful. So I grabbed one bottle and decided to try it out. After a month and two weeks, I finally emptied it!
First impression: the scent is so overwhelming!
Upon opening the cap, you can already smell its perfumey scent. I don’t know exactly how to describe it but it doesn’t smell pleasant to me. My mom used it and I could smell it from our living room. It was that strong.
What I like the most about this is that it works! From having dry and uncared for skin during quarantine, I was able to bring back moisture with this lotion.
At the back, you can see that it has the Beauty Vitamins as well as Grape Seed Oil that nourish the skin. I was a bit skeptical at first because I thought that this was just a bit of marketing but when I tried it on my skin, it really felt moisturized and hydrated.
The texture of the lotion is lightweight but sometimes it feels a bit sticky on the skin when the weather gets hot and humid. It might not be the case for you though, because I sweat a lot.
The lotion quickly absorbs on the skin when applied, which is really a plus for me. I mainly use this at night after I shower but sometimes I also use it in the morning whenever my arms and elbows feel a bit drier.
Overall, this is a good lotion for its price. I believe it's Php 200+ for a 175g bottle (Please correct me if I am wrong!) and it really does the job it claims, which is to moisturize. The only thing I do not like is the scent and that is a bit of a dealbreaker for me.
Would I repurchase again? Sadly, no. I just can't take the scent and I just kept on using it for the sake of this review. Perhaps if the scent gets reformulated I would. But for now, I'll pass.
If you're not too keen on scents though and would like a lotion that really moisturizes the skin, then you should try Myra Classic Moisturizing Vitamin Lotion!
